Today we will be talking about Hyper FX from BSN. Hyper FX is designed mainly with focus and energy in mind, in that order too. It contains a number of focus enhancing ingredients, more than just caffeine to keep you on track at the gym. It doesn’t give much in the way of strength gain from being free of Creatine. And I think that this product would be better marketed as a fat burner. All in all I would recommend this to anyone who’s looking to up the time they spend in the gym and if you’re looking to lose a bit of fat while weight training, then this is a great supplement for that too. But if you’re main goal is more along the lines of building muscle and strength, there are better options you could look into like Assault or VPX Friction.
This is one of the better priced Creatine free pre-workouts on the market. So far, I have found the best prices on Amazon (link below) coming in at about $1.25 per serving. The nice thing about Hyper FX is that you shouldn’t need to double up on scoops, with a big dose of caffeine per single scoop. One was always enough for me, so the Value stayed the same.
This is the category where Hyper Fx really excels. It combines the efforts of 270mg of caffeine per serving, Choline and Taurine for what I can only call an “extreme” energy rush. My ability to stay focused definitely improved and it made me feel like I was the only one in the gym. Just the weights, the music, and me. It was easy to keep on track, which I really enjoyed.
Hyper Fx does a great job of helping you push hard through your workout using Betaine, Beta Alanine, and an electrolyte blend for hydration. But it does kind of leave you hanging after the workout. What I mean by that is, it doesn’t contain any additional amino acids like BCAA’s or Glutamine which would help to kick start your recovery and actually improve your endurance as well.
Strength Gains- 6
My strength remained as usual, maybe a few more reps on given weights, but nothing ground breaking. It lacks creatine to contribute more in this cateory. But it has Betaine and Beta Alanine which helps out in this here by allowing your muscles push even longer than they normally would. The Beta Alanine makes your skin tingle by the way, and I found this one made me tingle quite a bit more than others.
I had the fruit punch flavor, and it wasn’t very good in my opinion. After reading a number of other reviews concerning the taste, it seems that there is room for improvement. Not too much trouble mixing, just a little left over crystals at the bottom which I couldn’t taste though which is nice.
